12 Pin Wiring
The first thing, which is arguably the most essential part of towing your van is your trailer wiring.
Without the proper trailer plug arrangement it is possible that your trailer lights wont work, and in turn your electric brakes may not work. Making it illegal for us to allow you to take the van home with you.
If you are unsure which 12 pin wiring diagram your van applies to or you have not yet received one, please contact your salesperson to ensure you receive the correct wiring prior to handover.

Elecbrakes
Simple to set up in minutes, the Elecbrakes electric brake controller can be mounted on any trailer and towed by any vehicle.
The Elecbrakes unit offers incomparable performance, safety and flexibility, this trailer-mounted electric braking unit is compatible with any tow vehicle.

Towing Mirrors
Nearly any van you buy, you will require towing mirrors to be able to legally tow it on Australian Roads. It is required by law in Australia if you are towing anything wider than your vehicle towing mirrors are required.
There is a legal requirement for you to have mirrors that allow you to see clearly an area that is 4 metres wide from the side of your caravan at a distance 20 metres behind the driver.
We sell a range of tow mirrors through our spare parts department and have something to suit, no matter the application.

Powering Your Van on 240V
15AMP power leads and outlets have a larger bottom pin. You can however plug a 15 AMP lead into your home power. (And no its not by shaving down the bottom pin to make it fit, that’s a recipe for disaster, and also very much illegal)
The correct way to plug your van into your home power is by using a 10-15AMP converter box as per pictured here.
This is something you will need if you are wishing to power up your van on 240V or charge your batteries.

Anti Flap Kits and Curved Roof Rafters
As the name suggests, an anti-flap kit is a caravan accessory that limits the amount of flapping your awning does when it’s windy outside. It provides excellent awning stability and protects the awning from being torn or ripped.
An anti-flap kit does more than just stabilise your awnings as they allow for easy installation of your annex walls and privacy screens as well

Planning on camping off grid but want to keep warm and toasty ? A gas or diesel heater is going to be your saviour in situations like this !
A gas / diesel heater allows you to keep warm off the grid using very minor battery power for the operating screen and the rest is taken care of by the ignition source.
