FAQ - BEFORE DELIVERY
An orange confirmation occurs about 4 months from completion of the build for your caravan/motorhome. This is the stage of the build where we will finalise all of your décor selections and accessories. After this is completed the factory can no longer accept changes to your order. We do this with you to ensure we have not missed anything and that your order is as you were expecting.
You will be contacted by your salesperson notifying you of its arrival at the dealership. They will book you in for your handover to pick up your caravan/motorhome. If there are no extra accessories to be fitted at the dealership we need a minimum of 1 business week for our predelivery process to be completed. If there are options to be fitted at the dealership before your delivery we will need around 10 working days depending on the level and complexity of the options you are having fitted.
When the vehicle arrives we complete a mechanical check on it, test all appliances and perform a thorough detail to remove internal dust and external dirt that is a result of travelling from Melbourne.
As soon as your van arrives at our dealership you will be notified. One of our sales team members will call you and we will book in a handover date with you.
While there isn’t quite a “Handover package,” there is however a couple of hours of face to face demonstration, manuals and you tube videos to assist you along your way. To prepare for your handover we recommend watching some of the many “How to” and educational videos located on this customer portal. Please click here to view these videos.
In addition to this you do receive a manual that will be inside your blue book at handover.
We would normally ask our customers to allow for two weeks from once we receive your van to when we can hand it over to you. This is subject to change depending on the capacity of the workshop.
When your van arrives at the dealership, the relevant parts and wiring loom for your reverse camera will come in the van. If you would like to pick up your reverse camera kit prior to your handover, please contact your salesperson so they can arrange to remove it from your van for you and have it ready for you to pick it up.
Our handover days are Monday through to Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm. We generally allow for 3-4 handovers a day depending on staff availability. We ask that you allow up to two hours for your handover where we will run through both the exterior and interior of your van and how to use all your accessories. Handovers can take less than the allocated two hours depending on how familiar you are with the workings of your new van or motorhome.
We will assign your vehicle a number plate 1-2 days prior to your handover. The registration of your vehicle is put in place from the day you pick up it up. Sometimes we will be able to give you your rego papers on the day but in most cases we will post them out to you after your handover.

During your handover our team will also ask you questions about your intentions of use with your van and will help you narrow down what we think the essentials are for you.

Jayco Assist is something you are automatically joined to. You are not required to lodge any details to join. This service is only available during the warranty period of your van and all you need to do when you call them is provide them with your chassis number (located on your A-frame). If you do call them outside of your warranty period they will still assist but you may need to cover the costs of this help. For all of the information on Jayco assist, please click here.

Our vans are wired through a 12 pin plug that has ample capacity for the power running though it. On silverlines where the fridge is a lot larger and uses more power we do run the fridge wiring through an Anderson plug but any vans that come standard with the fridge running through the 12 pin plug is because it is safe to do so. In cases where plugs have melted it has usually been due to incorrect wiring being put in the car side.
See our wiring diagrams here.
We don’t accept bank cheque or personal cheques as a form of payment. Please click here to view our payment options.
Nearly any van you buy, you will require towing mirrors to be able to legally tow it on Australian Roads. It is required by law in Australia if you are towing anything wider than your vehicle towing mirrors are required. There is a legal requirement for you to have mirrors that allow you to see clearly an area that is 4 metres wide from the side of your caravan at a distance 20 metres behind the driver. We sell a range of tow mirrors through our spare parts department and have something to suit, no matter the application. We recommend the Milenco Grand Aero 4 Mirror. These towing mirrors enable you to see the top and bottom of your caravan so you can avoid hazards, such as low trees branches, sign posts sticking out etc.
